About Us

Welcome to Tracer Racing.

Our mission is to produce wiring looms which give people options, flexibility and simplicity for a sensible price while still being reliable, lightweight and presentable.

Nowadays we're spoilt for choice and as cars get increasingly technical, a lot of us know what we'd like but it's harder to know what we actually need in order to do this.

One relevant example is that not everybody wants or needs the added cost and complexity of a mil-spec wiring loom for their whole car, as even many factory built GT racecars and the most technical final evolution of Clio Cup cars don't use them.

Likewise, not everybody wants an ECU which, on its own, costs as much as some companies ECU, dash and PDM combined.

Many of us just want decent kit for decent money, so that's what we aim for.

Working with motorsport and performance vehicles for over 20 years, a lot of this time specifically with electronics and wiring and with many class and overall wins from vehicles, we know this stuff.

Any time not spent wiring and installing and setting up electronics was spent on mechanical work like engine assembly, vehicle assembly and repair and a limited amount of welding and fabrication, so we understand this industry beyond just our current sector.

All wiring looms are designed and made in the UK and we will continue to add more wiring loom options as well as more components from other suppliers as they become available to us.

Many of these are 'universal' sections to go with specific components which we believe in and are tried and tested. For example our PMU-16 wiring looms allow you to skip all the 'techy' bits which are already done in the wiring loom we send you, and you can simply join your existing chassis wiring or run new DIY wiring from Point A to Point B to finish off your vehicles rewire or simply to fit a modern PDM to your vehicle.

Custom work is always possible, so if you have something specific you're interested in then just ask - we have worked with most engines and chassis over the years, so chances are we can get it done and we will still produce wiring to any spec required including the more costly and exotic mil-spec and concentric-twisted options if required.
